How it compares

What’s the difference between ShopSafe ONE and Motorola V200?

ShopSafe ONE and the Motorola V200 both let a colleague call for help and have someone watch and talk to them through the camera. The V200 does it over Wi-Fi, records at up to 720p and is rated IP54; team radio comes from separate Motorola radios, and offender intelligence from a third-party platform, Auror. ShopSafe ONE puts 4G, GPS, 1080p video, push-to-talk and facial recognition in one IP67 device, with offender intelligence built in through Alert. Motorola brings a global brand, RFID badge check-out and a mature evidence platform in VideoManager.

Questions about switching

  • Is ShopSafe ONE a like-for-like replacement for the Motorola V200?

It covers the same ground: body worn video, a button to call for help, live streaming and two-way audio. It also adds 4G, GPS, 1080p video, push-to-talk radio between colleagues, facial recognition and Alert crime intelligence in one device. The V200 is slightly lighter and supports RFID badge check-out.

  • We already use radios. Can colleagues on ShopSafe ONE still talk to them?

Yes. ShopSafe ONE works as a walkie-talkie with other ONE devices and connects to existing radio systems through a gateway, so colleagues on ONE and colleagues on handsets can talk to each other.

  • What happens to our existing footage if we switch?

Keep or export the evidence you need from VideoManager in line with your retention policy. New footage from ShopSafe ONE goes to your secure evidence vault or straight into Alert.

  • How much does ShopSafe ONE cost?

You can buy outright, hire, or take a Service Exchange subscription, which includes warranty cover for the full contract and 48-hour replacement. Pricing depends on device numbers and software, so book a demo or call 0345 350 3798 for a quote.
