It is used by Business Improvement Districts, Business Crime Reduction Partnerships, police forces and national retailers across the UK.
How long does it take a member to report an incident?
About 60 seconds. Members open the app on a phone, tablet or PC, add what happened and a photo, and it is shared with the partnership straight away.
We already use another system. Can we switch?
Yes. Liverpool BID Company replaced its existing system with Alert across the city. We onboard and train your members, and on the Managed package our team does it for you.
Who can see what?
Members see the incidents, offenders and bulletins shared with the partnership. Your team controls what is shared, and police access is set up with the force.
How do the police get access?
Officers can have Alert on their phones and see reports as they come in, at no cost to the force. Suffolk, Nottinghamshire, Essex and Hertfordshire police already work this way.
How do you handle GDPR and facial recognition?
ShopSafe is ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certified. Compass AI and facial matching are available on Pro and Managed, and are configured in line with your DPIA. The Managed package includes full data compliance.
